Classic Chimichurri


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup tightly packed oregano leaves
  • 1/2 cup tightly packed Italian parsley leaves
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 large shallot, peeled and quartered
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt

Instructions

Process all ingredients in a food processor until smooth.  Store refrigerated in an air-tight container for up to 1 week.
